Saturday Cinema - nuke time...Pt 2 of a film about the first experimental work undertaken at what was termed (by some) as 'Atomic Port' at Shippingport which was built to accommodate US President Dwight D. Eisenhower's 'Atoms for Peace' speech he gave to the United Nations. Commercial nuclear power generation was cornerstone of his plan.

Apparently, they went critical towards the end of 1957 using a reactor which was going to be used in a nuclear powered aircraft carrier... different methods were being tested and evaluated... I'll look round for Pt 1
