Ola and James Jordan welcome baby daughter after IVF struggle
OLA and James Jordan have welcomed a baby daughter into the world after their three-year IVF battle.
The ex Strictly star and Dancing On Ice winner announced Ola and given birth to their first child on Instagram tonight, telling fans they are the “happiest” parents in the world.
Ola, 37, wrote alongside her photo: “She’s here and she is perfect.”
Whilst James, 41, shared the same picture of their baby’s tiny hand and gushed: “I’m the happiest man in the world.”
The couple – who have been married for 17 years – shared the news they were expecting their first child together last year.
In an interview with Hello! magazine, they beamed with joy as they pose for pictures with their baby scan.
Ola looked radiant as she wore a pale pink satin dress, after revealing she had started IVF to fulfil her dream of becoming a mum.
The former Strictly stars had been trying for a couple of years, and were “desperate” to have children after their intense careers got in the way of starting a family.
Ola had been very open about her fertility struggles, and admitted she thought she would be able to conceive naturally.
In a previous interview with Hello! she said: “I would love to be a mum with all my heart and I just thought it would happen naturally.
“James is also desperate to have babies and I just wish it could have happened by now. That’s the one gift I would love to give him.

“I guess I just thought, like most women, that I could choose when the time was right for me; that I could have my career and then have a baby when it felt right. But for us it just hasn’t happened like that.”
James added: “The irony is that for 17 years during our career we tried not to have children because dancing is not a career that easily fits in with family life.
“When we finally did try, it was a sting to realise we couldn’t conceive straight away. After consultations we’ve realised we are one of the lucky ones and that, with help, hopefully one day we can realise our baby dreams.”
