The Metal Men were ideally suited for the period 1964 - 1967: the New Look. Though they would gain a Bond-like acronymic villain,BOLTS, they barely needed to, with the wild visuals and crazy villains they faced, like Chemo, the Missile Men, and a sentient killer amusement park.
