[Dance] Dance wins Northeastern Regional Championship

The SAU Dance Team is your Northeastern Regional Champion as they clinched their third straight Regional Qualifier this weekend in Adrian, Mich., hosted by Siena Heights University.

The win gives St. Ambrose an automatic bid to the 2020 Dance National Championships, scheduled for March 13-14 in Davenport, Iowa, hosted by St. Ambrose University.

This marks St. Ambrose's eighth Regional Championship in the last 10 years, and they have won four of the last five since joining the Northeastern Region.

"Regionals are always a nerve-racking experience. Winning is the only way you can guarantee a spot at Nationals. There are good teams in our region that have also made Nationals multiple years that really push us to compete at a high level," Coach Danelle Langeneckert stated. "Our girls really worked hard leading up to this competition and their hard work paid off. Their performance was one of their better ones all year landing them an all-time high score for the SAU Dance Team in a post-season competition. I am so proud of this team and am excited to see what they can do at Nationals."
