Man fatally shot in Austin: police
The 25-year-old was struck multiple times and pronounced dead at Stroger Hospital.
A man was killed in a shooting Friday in Austin on the West Side, police said.
About 6:15 p.m., the 25-year-old was in the 5900 block of West Potomac Avenue when someone unleashed gunfire, Chicago police said.
The man was struck on the arm, hip and taken to Stroger Hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said.
The Cook County medical examiner’s office hasn’t released details on the fatality.
No arrests have been reported. Area Central detectives are investigating.
