During a recent interview, Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.) avoided answering whether or not she would accept the role as Joe Biden’s vice president. On Saturday, the former presidential candidate declined to say if she would be open to the job if Biden chose her as his running mate.
Right now, she said she’s focused on her state and country amid the coronavirus pandemic. She cited recent efforts to increase mail-in voting for the general election in November.
“I’m just not going to engage in hypotheticals,” stated Klobuchar. “Joe Biden was a great vice president, he knows what it takes to be a good vice president and he’s going to make that decision.”

According to reports, Biden has committed to picking a woman for his vice president. His running mate will likely be one of the female candidates who already dropped out of the 2020 race.
