Strictly Come Dancing bosses consider double eliminations if coronavirus lockdown delays start date
STRICTLY bosses may introduce double eliminations this year to ensure the coronavirus does not prevent it from going ahead.
They are considering a range of emergency plans including axing two stars per show should lockdown restrictions delay the usual start date.

It comes after we told last month how producers are determined the BBC1 dance extravaganza must go on if at all possible.
A source said: “There are no fixed plans in place yet but the team are considering all of the options. They are taking note of what’s being done on other versions of the show, such as Let’s Dance in Germany.
“One idea on the table is that of double eliminations, which would allow us to cut the number of episodes we air if we are forced to launch the show later than we would like to.”
To lift fans’ spirits amid all the uncertainty, bosses have started work on three highlights compilations from the Movies, Musicals and Blackpool weeks in previous series.
