THIS year’s series of Strictly Come Dancing still hangs in the balance, but fans will still be getting their dose of salsa and sequins it seems.
The BBC has decided to film a special edition of the show amid the global coronavirus pandemic, and will do so from the homes of the show’s much-loved stars.

Episodes will remember some of the nation’s favourite moments from the Strictly’s history in a brand new way, and fans are sure to love it.
Kate Phillips, Controller of BBC Entertainment, revealed: “Strictly Come Dancing has produced so many magical and memorable moments in the movie, musical and Blackpool weeks – the three special episodes will look back and celebrate these, bringing some much needed Strictly sparkle to the nation.”
The three episodes will be filmed from the homes of presenters Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman, who will be joined virtually by judges Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, Shirley Ballas and Bruno Tonioli, and other special guests.
RuPaul Charles has been tipped to appear on Strictly Come Dancing 2020 amid reports BBC bosses have lined up two A-listers for the new season.
The Sun revealed earlier this week that the show’s bosses have been in contact with two celebrities they’ve “tried to sign for years”.
The insider exclusively told us: “Strictly bosses are actually in talks with some huge stars now the lockdown has come into effect.
“There are two A-listers in particular that bosses have been trying to sign for years who are now considering joining the show.
“The thing is – because of the lockdown, a lot of celebs are having films, TV shows, tours and theatre bookings cancelled and Strictly is likely to go ahead – it’s a big payday and a huge, prestigious show.

Meanwhile, last month it was revealed which professional dancers would be returning for the 2020 series of Strictly.
Despite fears that they had quit the show, both Oti Mabuse and Anton Du Beke are returning to the ballroom for series 18 alongside fellow favourites like Gorka Marquez and AJ Pritchard.
