Beauty YouTuber NikkieTutorials bashes Ellen DeGeneres after appearing on show and claiming she was treated differently
BEAUTY YouTuber Nikkie Tutorials – whose real name is Nikkie de Jager -bashed host Ellen DeGeneres after appearing on her show and claimed she was treated differently than the other guests.
The 26-year-old Dutch native had recently come out to her fans as transgender and was invited to be a guest in The Ellen DeGeneres Show back in January.
Nikkie claimed that appearing on the talk show had always been one of her dreams, but unfortunately, she was left disappointed when she noticed that Ellen treated her differently.
She caught up with &C Magazine, a Dutch publication, and spilled all the dirty details.
According to Us Weekly, she claimed: “Maybe I’m being naive, but I expected them to welcome me with confetti: ‘Welcome to The Ellen DeGeneres Show!’
“But instead I got greeted by an angry intern, who was a bit overworked. I expected a Disney show, but I got a Teletubbies after dark.”
She continued to detail her experience: “Every guest at Ellen had a private toilet, but I didn’t.
“For people who don’t know me, [the Ellen interview] was a good summary of my story. But the people who did know me expected more.”
“‘I should’ve just went on Eva Jinek [show],’ I thought to myself.”
She then recommended that people “don’t meet your idols” as she was left disappointed when she met hers.
The Beauty YouTuber’s comments come just a few months after she alleged in another interview that Ellen “wasn’t as nice” as other people who have interviewed her.
She said on camera: “It’s nice that you say ‘hi’ before the show … she didn’t. Ellen is just such a different world.”
She also claimed that Ellen was “distant and cold”.

Nikkie Tutorials was forced to come out as transgender when another member of the beauty community threatened to out her if she didn’t do it herself.
Her bravery landed her a 7-minute interview with Ellen where she spoke about how supportive her fans were after she came out and how her mom played a vital role in coming out when she was just a child.
