One in critical condition following shooting in southwest Columbus
COLUMBUS (WCMH) — One person is in critical condition following a shooting in southwest Columbus Saturday night.
According to the Columbus Division of Police, a witness told officers that the victim was walking in the 600 block of Wedgewood Drive around 10:50pm, when a car pulled up alongside and a person got out of the rear passenger side.
The witnesses said the suspect shot at the victim four times, striking him multiple times in the back, the elbow and grazing his head.
The victim, a 33-year-old man, was taken to an area hospital in critical condition, but police say he is expected to survive his injuries.
