From Monday, the UP government has permitted 11 industries to commence operations, subject to conditions. These include steel, refineries, cement, chemicals, fertilisers, garments (excluding apparel), foundries, paper, tyre, common effluent treatment plants and sugar mills. However, only the manufacturing & industrial units will be permitted to function.
