Was reading Philippe Auclair's book on Cantona and he claims that in the late 1980s and through the 1990s, Laurent Blanc was seen a real generational talent and world class defender. As someone who didn't watch football until the early 2000s, Blanc isn't on the radar for me at all, apart from a late stint at Man Utd. Anyone attest to his talent?
