Man arrested in stabbing of man, teenage girl in Santa Clara
SANTA CLARA — A 37-year-old San Francisco man has been arrested on allegations that he stabbed a man and a 16-year-old girl in an apartment in Santa Clara early Tuesday.
Henry Gregory Jones Jr., was acquainted with both victims at the apartment in the 3200 block of Homestead Road. Santa Clara police didn’t specify how he was acquainted with them, but emphasized that this attack was an isolated incident.
Jones was arrested at about noon Tuesday, nearly 10 hours after police responded to the apartment complex. Police found both victims, the girl and the 58-year-old man, with non-life-threatening injuries. Both were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Information police learned at the scene led officers to Jones, who was arrested in San Francisco at about 12:15 p.m., police said. He was booked into Santa Clara County Jail on charges of assault with a deadly weapon and burglary.
