White trashes ‘d-ckhead’ Arum: ‘You have completely destroyed’ boxing
The war of words between Dana White and Bob Arum will never end.
Pandemic or no pandemic, UFC president Dana White and Top Rank Boxing CEO Bob Arum have made it nearly a time-honored tradition to insult and/or criticize each other.
This latest chapter comes from the White, in response to Arum calling Dana’s decision to restart its event schedule this weekend “cowboy behavior,” On the latest episode of the UFC Unfiltered podcast, White delivered his unfiltered thoughts, which we have since censored in the transcription.
“Listen, I think by now everybody realizes that Bob Arum is a d-ckhead,” White said (via MMA Junkie). “This guy has been talking sh-t about the UFC and me for 20 years. He’s f—king bankrupt this guy. He’s bankrupt. Of course you don’t want to put fights on. You can’t afford to put fights on you f—king jackoff. You’ve been in this thing your whole life and have completely destroyed the business and the sport. Congratulations, Bob Arum. You’re brilliant.”
Boxing is so destroyed that we’re a shade over two months removed from the massive heavyweight title bout between Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury, a fight that was co-promoted by Bob Arum.
Top Rank doesn’t intend to run any events until at least June, with Arum claiming the promotion won’t resume its schedule, “if it’s safe for the fighters and everyone involved, and if it’s approved by the medical authorities.” States he’s looking at include California, Nevada, and Texas, whose commission certainly has that “cowboy behavior” reputation.
There’s no confirmation from other sources apart from White as to whether Top Rank is too broke to put on fights.
