The Department of Health on Wednesday reported the single biggest daily increase in Covid cases — 320. This brought the total number of cases to 10,004.
Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire attributed the jump to the increased capacity to conduct swab tests. There are 23 testing facilities that can conduct at least 8,000 reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) confirmatory tests per day.
