Former Reality TV Stars Are Looking for Love With Everyday Aussies in New Digital Series

0

Former reality TV stars are taking another crack at dating on TV - except this time their expertly matched virtual dates with ordinary Australians are being broadcast live on YouTube. Shot in the participants' homes, Going Live for Love aims to explore how to date from a safe social distance.

A couple of the contestants are pretty familiar with being expertly matched - the partner-swapping Dan Webb from last year's Married at First Sight, and Ashley Airvin from the series in 2018.

The other two contestants are Bachelor in Paradise alumni, from seasons one and two respectively, Nina Rolleston from Sam Wood's season of The Bachelor, and Paddy Colliar from Ali Oetjen's season of The Bachelorette.

You'd remember Dan: he and Jessika Power asked the experts to remain on MAFS after they left their original spouses for each other, then broke up after Dan found out about Jessika's sexual attraction to Nic Jovanovic at the reunion.

Meanwhile Ashley called it quits with Troy Delmege at the end of her season of the show, before he entered into a relationship with fellow contestant Carly Bowyer. They split in August 2018.

Nina came fifth in Sam's season of The Bachelor - and we all know where that went. And while Nina seemed to strike up a relationship with Eden Schwencke - before being tempted by Canadian Daniel Maguire - he dropped her on the show to pursue Elora Murger.

After coming seventh in Ali's Bachelorette season, Paddy featured on last year's Paradise, going on an unsuccessful date with Shannon, before taking a crack at Alisha and Brooke. It didn't work out.

The pitfalls of dating other former Bachie stars, huh?

The familiar faces will be looking for love online under the expert guidance of another reality TV face, Belinda Love, who was sent home early on from Matty J's season of The Bachelor. The host and love coach will be joined by other relationship experts, including a sex and intimacy coach and a relationship coach.

Experts will advise the former reality TV stars on the foundation of their dating personalities and show them what they should be looking for in potential partners, as they seek to find them a perfect match.

The first contestant up is Nina - we can expect a live interview on Monday, to meet her potential suitors on Wednesday, and to see Nina and her chosen beau's dinner date on Friday.

Going Live for Love is set to air live on Belinda's YouTube from 7:30 p.m. on May 11, with a new reality TV star looking for love every fortnight. Apply to date a former reality star by DMing Belinda on Facebook here.

Will this fill the Bachelor in Paradise-shaped gap in our lives?
