FTA launches business review to support logistics companies post-lockdown

An independent strategic business review has been launched by the FTA, aiming to get logistics companies back up and running in a post-lockdown world.

With the government’s ‘back to work’ plans about to be revealed, the trade association said successful re-starting and scaling-up of operations will rely on a number of dependencies across the supply chain.

It said health and safety advice for the workplace is liable to change, but firms need to consider what this ‘new normal’ will look like in operational terms.

Paul Wilson, FTA supply chain consultant, said its business review process would identify areas which currently fail to comply with new legislation and spot bottlenecks and weaknesses in the supply chain: “The reviews will cover all areas of operation from inbound and outbound flows of goods, to the use of PPE, operating processes and staff support systems,” he said.
