Anna starts her weekly routine by ‘aggravating’ her scalp with a hairbrush [/caption]Tik Tok user @Annatocks shared a video showing her bouncing curls, despite claiming she hadn’t washed her barnet in seven days.
She explains the secret to maintaining sleek hair all week is to aggravate the scalp, followed by a clarifying rinse.
Anna shared a tutorial detailing her step-by-step method, saying: “I wash my hair once a week. This is seven day hair. It’s about to get washed.
“Step one, aggravate the scalp. This is the perfect time to really get in and take out any of the dead scalp skin.
Tik Tok user Anna revealed she only washes her hair once a week[/caption]“Because it’s about to go all go down the drain and no one will ever know.
“It also helps remove that dry shampoo build up. Which might also just be dead skin but let’s call it that.
“Keep going until it hurts in like a tingly way.
“Step two, make a clarifying rinse.”
Clarifying rinse ingredients
- Cup of warm water
- One teaspoon of baking soda
- Splash of apple cider vinegar
The simple ingredients are warm water, a teaspoon of baking soda and a couple of splashes of apple cider vinegar.
As you mix them Anna warns it “will fizz”, so she advises to do it over the sink.
Once in the shower, Anna shares the precise order to use products in, saying you need to wet your hair with water, rinse with the apple cider vinegar mixture, rinse again with water, shampoo, shampoo again then condition.
She recommends putting ‘something nice’ on your ends, so they don’t dry out.
As well as using a clarifying rinse, Anna also washes her hair with shampoo – twice[/caption]Finally you need to grab your hair dryer, but only blow dry your roots, leaving the rest of your hair to “air dry”.
All that’s left is to style your locks, and Anna says you’re “ready for another week”.
Her clip has been watched more than 121,000 times, and racked up nearly a thousand comments.
The last thing is to add product to the ends and blow dry the roots[/caption]Women praised her for sharing her tip, with one saying: “This is my exact routine and it changed my life. I wash every five days now.”
Another said: “Crazy. I’m a hairstylist and we literally have the same routine and almost all identical products.”
While a third wrote: “Gonna try this.”
