Furious shopper tells worker to shove coronavirus ‘up your motherf*****g ass’ over mask demand
An irate shopper screamed at a worker and told them to shove coronavirus ‘up your motherfucking ass’ after he was told he would have to wear a mask to enter the store.
Miami Beach’s Code Compliance department released a video Tuesday that showed the angry shopper berating a code officer outside a Publix in South Beach. The tirade reportedly began after he learned he would be forced to wear a mask if he wanted to shop in the store.
In the clip, the unidentified man can be heard calling the outbreak a ‘false flag, fake pandemic,’ before insisting he has ‘the right to buy groceries’ without following public health mandates.
‘There is no pandemic. You’re terrorists. You’re in violation of my Constitutional and civil rights,’ the man screamed.
Meanwhile, the country has seen over 76,000 die from the virus, including 1,600 in Florida alone.
City Manager Jimmy Morales told The Miami Herald he shared the video with the mayor and City Commission ‘as an example of what employees occasionally face out there from folks who have no desire to socially distance or wear masks.’
‘Four-letter words, heated comments and city staff being mocked were common this past week in South Point Park.’
‘While the Publix incident was one of the most adverse encounters with a member from our Code staff, several Park Rangers have recounted many less than cordial exchanges when asking members of the public to wear a face covering at a public park or adhere to social distancing,’ Morales continued.
The confrontation at Publix comes as South Pointe Park shut down on Monday because people refused to comply with face mask requirements.
However, Miami-Dade County recently reopened parks, golf courses and marina’s on Wednesday, although beaches and ‘non-essential’ businesses have remained closed.
