Orange Is The New Black Characters Sorted Into Their Game Of Thrones Houses

0

Orange Is the New Black is a series that is practically brimming with complex, multi-layered characters. Throughout Litchfield Prison, we had the opportunity to meet some of the most fascinating personas that were all filled with contradictions, humor, and lovable quirks. Audiences fell in love with almost every person in Jenji Kohan's Netflix series, and that's not an easy task to pull off when there are so many characters to consider.

With that being said, which Game of Thrones house would these characters fit best in? Who would thrive most in House Tyrell? What about House Stark? Keep reading to find out who belongs where!

10 RED - HOUSE TARGARYEN

Red is one of the greatest, most unforgettable characters on Orange Is The New Black. She is a force to be reckoned with, and everyone in the prison seems to respect the Russian cook.

With her fiery red locks, winged eyeliner, and fabulous personality, we immediately feel captivated by the character who wants you to know who's boss. "Fire and blood" is the motto for House Targaryen, and we think this perfectly sums up Red's persona. When she is angry, she's furious and she will stop at nothing until justice is served.

9 NICKI  NICHOLS - HOUSE GREYJOY

Out of all the houses, House Greyjoy comes across as the most free-spirited. They live their lives according to their own set of rules, and they often love to flirt with danger when it comes their way. Nicki is intelligent, funny, and always has the best wise-cracks for any given situation.

She loves to add a touch of humor to the darkest moments because she refuses to take life so seriously. This sounds a lot like the Greyjoys (especially Yara Greyjoy who is strikingly similar to Ms. Nichols.)

8 TAYSTEE -  HOUSE STARK

Taystee is definitely best suited to be a member of House Stark. Out of all the characters, she arguably goes through the most turmoil. She faces the death of her closest friend, and she watches as her prison family goes down with her. She is even convicted of a crime that she didn't commit.

Taystee starts off as one of the most innocent characters in the series, yet as the show progresses she is forced to face the dark realities brought on by the prison system. Her ability to overcome impossible hurdles makes us believe she is totally fit for this house.

7 PIPER CHAPMAN - HOUSE LANNISTER

Piper is known for her elitism throughout Litchfield Prison. While most of the other characters have to suffer at the hands of a racist and classist system, Piper is given the upper hand at all costs because she is an attractive white woman from a very wealthy family.

The Lannisters sometimes aren't taken super seriously by their peers because everything in life has been handed to them considering they are the wealthiest people in all of Westeros. Like Piper, they are regal, privileged, and at times blind to their surroundings. Eventually, both Piper and The Lannister clan evolve and see the world for what it really is.

6 POUSSEY WASHINGTON - HOUSE  TARLY

If Poussey embodies anyone on Game of Thrones, it's Samuel Tarly. Both characters are arguably too sweet for their own good, and both Poussey and Sam are constantly spotted with their nose stuck in a book.

Poussey would fit best in this house because of her deep love of literature as well as her kind-hearted persona.

5 TIFFANY DOGGETT  - HOUSE GREYJOY

Similar to Theon Greyjoy, Tiffany "Pennsatucky" Doggett is a character who started off as a villainous antagonist, then slowly redeemed herself as we got to study her multi-layered personality more closely. Great characters who stick with us most are the ones who are neither truly good or truly evil.

They sometimes do things that are selfish and cruel, yet they are able to make up for it with other more redeemable traits. They are complex- They are human. Because of this, we like them all the more.

4 BROOK SOSO - HOUSE TYRELL

Brook Soso is a great character on the prison dramedy series. At first, we perceive her to be a bit of a ditzy airhead who's got her head in the clouds, yet as the series progresses, we begin to understand her deep well of knowledge and intellect.

She may seem one way on the outside, yet she is actually much deeper and filled with more wisdom than most of the characters on the show. The Tyrell's are known for presenting themselves one way while being totally different in reality.

3 SUZANNE  WARREN - HOUSE LANNISTER

Similar to Tyrion Lannister, Suzanne Warren is a lovable underdog who we can't help but admire. The world perceives her to be one way (hence why they refer to her as Crazy Eyes) yet when you really take the time to get to know her character, you realize how warm and brilliant she is.

Suzanne is easily one of the smartest women in the prison, and she's constantly quoting classic literature while creating epic love-stories in her spare time. She has the dignity, knowledge, and class of a Lannister.

2 ALEX VAUSE - HOUSE BAELISH

Alex Vause is one big dangerous mystery throughout the series, which is perhaps why Piper is so drawn to her in the first place. Like Petyr Baelish on Game of Thrones, people are constantly trying to figure her out and she is always seemingly up to no good.

Although she has her redeemable traits, as a whole, she is quite sneaky and isn't afraid to rat people out in order to benefit her own needs. Because of this, she'd probably do best in House Baelish. Sorry, Alex!

1 LORNA MORELLO - HOUSE TYRELL

Lorna is another character on the series who seems super innocent, yet she's actually much darker and more calculating than the Disney-princess persona she puts on for show. Although she may come across as the Snow White of the prison who just wants to go home so she can make Pinterest boards dedicated to her future wedding, she actually suffers from serious issues that result in her seeing the world through a delusional lense.

Like the Tyrell's, we underestimate them at first, then we see how much there is to them as we get to know the depth of the characters that are a part of this house.
