RHOBH: How Teddi & Dorit's Feud Turned into a Lesson on Etiquette
On the latest episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, fans watched as Teddi Mellencamp's argument with co-star Dorit Kemsley ended up turning into a lesson about etiquette. The expecting mother explained that she offered the invitation out of courtesy and that it was alright if Dorit didn't want to attend the event.
The Real Housewife of Beverly Hills star is back for the new season and is still a fan-favorite. In a recent episode, Teddi announced she was happily expecting her third child to the delight of the other woman. This season, the accountability coach is struggling with her pregnancy hormones while dealing with the same old housewives drama. The business owner has no problem standing up for what she believes. It's also clear that she would never force any of her friends to take part in her ventures.
In last night's all-new episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Teddi continued to teach fans a valuable lesson about life and friendship. She was hosting a retreat for her clients and extended the invite to all the housewives. Many at first felt they were forced to go, but after Teddi got wind of the rumor, she made it clear that if they didn’t want to go that they did not have to go. Lisa Rinna and Garcelle Beauvais were happy as clams as they did not attend. But Erika Jayne, Sutton Stracke, and Kyle Richards woke up at 5am to make it to Teddi’s first meeting at 9am. While Dorit Kemsley sauntered in late, missing the workout and then refusing to mediate.
Teddi did not seem phased by this and explained to the cameras that she expected the behavior from Dorit because she never leaves the house without full glam. Kyle also pointed out she had done a full photoshoot in her house with her glam squad. Dorit was on the attack, but Teddi shut the conversation down saying her invitation was real and it was okay for her to say no. A friend does not need to announce over and over again that they are going just to support her, they would have just shown up and said nothing.
The way Teddi handled this situation actually taught a lesson to the other women on event etiquette, explaining to them that it's alright to say no if you do not want to attend an activity just because they received an invitation. All Teddi wanted to do by offering the invitation was so that she had the option of coming if she wanted to. She was not offended that Lisa or Garcelle had opted out, she was thankful they had been honest with her upfront, unlike Dorit.
