Alicia Keys to Honor ‘Regular Heroes’ in Amazon Originals Series’ Premiere Episode
Amazon Originals’ new series Regular Heroes will be spotlighting the deserving heroes who are making a difference in their communities.
Regular Heroes, out Friday (May 8) on Amazon Prime Video, is an eight-episode docuseries which will focus on a new generous individual each episode, displaying how he or she is going above and beyond during the COVID-19 crisis in New York City, Los Angeles, New Orleans, Chicago and Seattle among others. The series will also offer support and assistance with donations of goods, services and more.
In the premiere episode, native New Yorker Alicia Keys will help celebrate Trevor Henry (from NYC), Burnell Cotlon (from New Orleans) and Athena Hayley (from Los Angeles) as they each make personal sacrifices for their families and humanity. Subsequent episodes with additional talent and heroes will be announced at a later date.
“This show is amazing! So pure and genuine! I’m happy to know this series will not only give support to but also put a face on the incredible people like Trevor, Burnell and Hayley,” Keys wrote in a statement. “They are the ones we clap for each night at 7 p.m. in New York. These are the heroes. And I’m so honored to celebrate them!”
