3 different plans for 2020 MLB regular season
Plan A: Play all games in one state, Arizona, no fans yet TV & radio crews to broadcast all games. Each team plays an 87 game schedule, 3 games vs. each of the other 29 teams.
Plan B: One league plays all their games in one state, Arizona, while the other league plays all their games in another state, Texas.
Each team plays an 84 game schedule, 6 games vs. each of the other 14 teams in their same league. No interleague play. No fans yet TV & radio crews.
Plan C: Divide MLB into 3 divisions of 10 teams each. One division plays all their games in one state, Arizona, while another plays all their games in another state, Texas, while the other plays all their games in another state, Florida.
Each teams plays either an 81 or a 90 game schedule, 9 or 10 games vs. each of the other 9 teams in their same division. No fans yet TV & radio crews.
Expanding the postseason to 16 teams makes sense in each of these plans, the top 16 teams in plan A, the top 8 from each league in plan B, or the top 5 from each division + 1 wild card in place C.
Expanding all playoff rounds to best of 9 series' also makes sense in each plan. November weather will be warm enough in Arizona, Texas & Florida to play the World Series + the league championship series'.
