Emily grew up in Seattle as a Mariners fan, but also a fan of baseball in general, which led to the publication of this book! Our conversation starts with a general conversation about the book and the characters involved before delving into some of the process behind it. She also shares a story of her real life experiences at Spring Training, featuring none other than George Steinbrenner.
