Teen Wolf Season 3 Episode 1 Sees A New Alpha Come To Town
Teen Wolf season 3 episode 1 sees Alpha Pack leader Deucalion arrive in Beacon Hills while Scott takes the time to get a tattoo.
Teen Wolf season 3 episode 1 sees the arrival of a brand new Alpla villain to town, while Scott decides to get a new tat. I Was A Teenage Werewolf from 1957 is a horror movie that might look cheesy now, but it was one of the first films to feature a teenage monster. The concept was later given a comic reinvention for 1985's Teen Wolf, which cast Michael J. Fox as a student who finds his werewolf abilities come in handy for school basketball. The movie was a success for the studio but perhaps not wanting to be subjected to the make-up regime again, Fox bailed on a sequel.
Thus, one of Jason Bateman's earliest roles was playing the title character in 1987's Teen Wolf Too, which was a critical disaster and fizzled out at box-office; plans for a third movie starring Alyssa Milano were abandoned in the aftermath. The franchise was given a rebirth in 2011 with the MTV Teen Wolf series, which cast Tyler Posey as Scott McCall. The show wasn't afraid to be silly or over the top, but it took inspiration from Buffy The Vampire Slayer too and featured a darker tone than the original movies.
Teen Wolf season 3 episode 1 "Tattoo" opens with Isaac being rescued from the Alpha Pack by a new character, who speeds him away on her motorbike but they later crash after being attack by twin werewolves. Stiles also takes Scott to get a tattoo - which swiftly heals thanks to his regeneration powers. He's also been studying over the summer and is intent on being a good student for the next school year, but he's quickly called to the hospital to see the wounded Isaac. This leads to a big fight with another member of the Alpha Pack called Ennis, and Derek Hale has to step in and save the day.
Elsewhere on Teen Wolf season 3 episode 1, something in Beacon Hills is seriously disturbing the local wildlife, which includes a bunch of crows smashing into the school. Derek later explains to Scott and Stiles the animals are being driven insane by the arrival of the Alpha Pack, and he needs their help dealing with them. He also grants Scott's request for a new tattoo, which Derek sears on his arm with the aid of a blow torch.
The episode ends with the mystery woman from the opening of Teen Wolf season 3 episode 1 - whose name is later revealed to be Braeden - cornered by the Alpha Pack in a locker room. Their leader is Deucalion, who is a blind man Scott helped earlier in the hospital. While Braeden puts up a hell of a fight she's overpowered and seemingly killed after Deucalion reveals his plan to turn Derek and Scott against each other, setting up an intense season.
