Desolation Layover spots and Camps?

Hey Everyone New to the forums! I have a Deso trip coming up this fall launching the 30th of September for a 9day trip! probably low flows so motoring to Jacks. looking for recommended layover spots to plan the trip around. also looking for must do hikes and camp spots. thanks for any help and info in advance.
