The plan to merge DfID and the Foreign Office should be celebrated - it will help the world's poorest

This week the Prime Minster Boris Johnson announced that The Department for International Development (DfID) is to be merged with Foreign and Commonwealth office . While The Labour Party and some former Prime Ministers have raised concerns over the move, I welcome it.
