British Typhoon jets intercept Russian military aircraft
BEIRUT, LEBANON (5:30 P.M.) – The British Air Force announced on Wednesday, that its Typhoon fighters were sent to intercept a Russian Il-78 refueling plane near the coast of the Baltic Sea.
A Royal Air Force statement posted on the website of the British Ministry of Defense said that the Typhoon fighters stationed in Lithuania as part of the NATO mission to monitor the airspace of the Baltic states, were “sent for the fifth time” to intercept the Russian plane near the coasts of the Baltic Sea.
