Christina Ricci Files for Divorce From James Heerdegen

Christina Ricci has officially filed for divorce from her husband James Heerdegen just one week after being granted a protection order against him.

The 40-year-old actress – well known for some hit movies from her youth like Casper and The Addams Family – filed the papers on Thursday (July 2) at the L.A. County Superior Court.

They met in 2011 on the set of her short-lived show Pan Am and got married in 2013. They have a five-year-old son Freddie. In the documents, Christina cited irreconcilable differences and is asking for sole legal and physical custody of their child.

There is apparently no pre-nuptial agreement between the pair, TMZ reports.

Last week, Christina was given an order of protection against James, prohibiting any contact between them following a domestic dispute.
