Amazon teams up with ‘Westworld’ creators for a ‘Fallout’ TV show
- Amazon Studios is making a TV show based on Bethesda's Fallout video game franchise.
- Amazon's Fallout show will be produced by Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy's Kilter Films. Previously, Nolan and Joy created the Westworld TV show for HBO.
- Amazon wasn't ready to share any details about the release timing, plot, or casting.
One of the biggest modern television properties is teaming up with one of the biggest modern video game properties as Amazon Studios has licensed the rights to Bethesda's Fallout franchise and brought on Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy -- creators of HBO's Westworld -- to produce the TV series for Prime Video.
"Fallout is one of the greatest game series of all time," said Joy and Nolan in a release. "Each chapter of this insanely imaginative story has cost us countless hours we could have spent with family and friends. So we're incredibly excited to partner with Todd Howard [director of the latest Fallout games] and the rest of the brilliant lunatics at Bethesda to bring this massive, subversive, and darkly funny universe to life with Amazon Studios."
