TERESA Giudice and her husband Joe from the hit show Real Housewives of New Jersey are reported to be $11million in debt.
The Bravolebrity separated from Joe and filed for divorce after 20 years of marriage.
They have both served jail time for fraud charges.
Who is Teresa Giudice?
Teresa Giudice is a reality star, author, and entrepreneur.
She is best known for her role on Bravo’s Real Housewives of New Jersey.
Before she was sentenced to prison, Teresa penned several cookbooks and biographies.
She owns a sparkling wine business called Fabellini and has also tried her hand in the food and restaurant industry.
When did her and Joe Giudice separate?
The couple announced their separation in December, though they hadn’t lived together since Joe left for prison in early 2016.
The couple – who got married in 1999 – called-it-quits after years of battling legal drama.
Teresa’s brother confirmed in April that their divorce is nearly complete.
When did Joe go to federal prison?
Previously, Teresa and Joe, both served jail time for multiple counts of fraud charges.
In 2009, the pair filed for bankruptcy but later rescinded the papers a few months later.
In March 2014, Joe, 47, and Teresa both pleaded guilty to multiple counts of bankruptcy fraud and conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud.
The Italian-born father also pleaded guilty to one count of failing to file a tax return in addition to the other charges.
RHONJ star Teresa was sentenced to 15 months in prison and served 11 of those months behind bars from 2014 to 2015.
Joe was sentenced to 41 months in prison and began serving time in a New Jersey facility in 2016 – three months after his wife was released from her Connecticut jail.
The former businessman was released straight into U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement custody due to not being an American citizen.
The TV star – who was born in Saronno, Italy – was deported to his home country but has fought to come back to be with his family ever since.
Joe was transferred to an ICE detention center after serving his 41-month sentence, and he was released from ICE that October.
Teresa and their daughters visited him in Italy in November 2019, and their daughters returned to Italy in December to spend the holidays with him.
The Sun confirmed a federal judge denied The Real Housewives of New Jersey ex-husband’s deportation appeal earlier this year.
In one of Joe‘s arguments, he insisted he was “not convicted of an aggravated felony offense because there was no loss to a victim exceeding $10,000.”
But the appeals court concluded the arguments “have no merit.”
How many children do they have together?
Joe and Teresa have four daughters together: Gia, 19, Gabriella, 15, Milania, 14, and Audriana, 10, who reside with their mother in America.
After their December split, Joe posted on Instagram: “I realized I must be responsible for only my kids that’s what matters. I want to provide, encourage, embrace them with my love in limited time together.”
How much is Teresa worth?
Teresa is reportedly in $11million of debt after years of battling legal drama with her relationship and the United States government.
Although the Housewife only spent 11 months behind bars, the troubles set her back in debt, forcing her to put her home on the market and pay $414,000 in restitution fees to the IRS.
The reality star has loans, legal fees, and college tuition fees to consider for her children.
Despite the financial woes, Teresa doesn’t appear to be cutting back on lavish expenses.
“If you see my vanity, I have so much makeup,” she told Glamour about forking over $22,000 on makeup and beauty treatments.
“Like, you don’t even know, I have so much makeup.”
According to Radar Online, Teresa is now making $62,000 per episode on the RHONJ, so her finances may be on the upswing.
How much is Joe worth?
Alongside his wife, Joe is embroiled in the same debt.
Reportedly, the large million dollar sum may be linked to the couple’s former credit card debt, which as of June 2010, included “nearly $20,000 on credit cards for Bloomingdales, Nordstrom, and Neiman Marcus,” and $104,000 in debt on “at least eight credit cards,” per The New York Post.
Teresa has also helped Joe fight his costly deportation case.
Joe is seemingly happy living his new life in Italy as he regularly uploads to Instagram.
He recently posted a video from a dinner out with a friend from Boston captioned: “Great food & great S-E-X= happy life.
“The king is in STOCK@zalousa,” referencing his sex toy business.
In the video, the dad of four was seen flirting with their waitress.
He said, although he’s originally from Italy, he spent most of his life in New Jersey so he explained:
“They call me New Jersey Joe.”
According to In Touch Joe is also looking to get back into reality television with a streaming cooking competition show, called Juicy Joe’s Cucina: From Italy to Jersey.
Producer Robyn Levy, who also starred on RHONJ, told InTouch: “Joe’s side of the family will definitely be participating,”
