Cathedral of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary - Wloclawek
Cathedral Basilica of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Wloclawek - a Gothic building erected from 1340 (consecration of the cornerstone), consecrated in 1411 after the completion of the nave corps. Construction continued in the 15th and early centuries. 16th century, until 1526 (completion of the north tower). In the years 1883-1901 seriously regothized, with the replacement of details and the elevation of both towers. It is a three-nave temple with a narrower and much lower presbytery. Of particular interest are the stained glass windows from 1360, the tombstone of Bishop Piotr of Bnin from 1494, the wooden statue of the Mother of God from the beginning of the 15th century and the image of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, John the Great from around 1480.
