The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has moved court seeking to restrain investigations being carried out by the Punjab Police’s special investigation team (SIT), led by Jalandhar range deputy inspector general (DIG) Ranbir Singh Khatra, in the sacrilege cases which rocked the state in 2015.
