Cece Parekh is Jess's best friend. The first time viewers meet Cece she faces off with Jess's new roommates to let them know that if anything happens to Jess, she will come after them. Cece is tough and beautiful and has a heart of gold, which makes her one of the favorite characters on the hit comedy series.
Cece has a lot of great moments, whether she's sticking up for Jess or for herself or falling in love with Schmidt. Cece also has some not so great moments because, like all the characters on the show, Cece isn't perfect and has her fair share of bad life choices.
10 Messes With Schmidt
When Schmidt first meets Cece, it is love at first sight and he does not try to pretend any differently. Schmidt is so smitten with his new roommate's best friend, he'll do anything she asks him to do, and Cece knows it. Not only does Cece know that is the case, but she takes full advantage of it.
At one point early on, she tells Schmidt she wants him to go to the roof, which he does without ever asking why and Cece leaves him up there for a really long time, which is so mean to do to someone who just wants to make her happy.
9 Makes Jess Pick Up Her Messes
Cece doesn't have a very good track record when it comes to dating and relies on Jess to make everything better when her latest relationship falls apart. In the first season, Cece is dating a DJ named DJ DiaBeatIt who, surprisingly, is not a very good guy.
After an argument at a nightclub, Cece begs Jess to come pick her up and then crashes at Jess's apartment because her new boyfriend has already moved into her place so she can't go home.
8 Uses Schmidt
It seems as though once Cece and Schmidt do finally get together, she is just using him for sex. Cece is embarrassed by her feelings for Schmidt and forces him to keep their new relationship a secret.
On top of that, Cece frequently reminds Schmidt that she's too good for him and constantly shames him both before and after they sleep together. The way Cece treats her new love interest is really upsetting in the beginning. Luckily, she does eventually come to her senses.

Cece and Jess have been best friends since they were children and they don't keep secrets from one another because they are supposed to keep each other's secrets from everyone else.
Cece breaks this rule when she doesn't tell Jess that she's sleeping with Schmidt. Not only is she keeping her new love interest from her best friend, but she's also sleeping with her best friend's new roommate, which could cause a lot of potential problems in the long run for Jess's living situation.
6 Pregnancy Scare
Once Cece and Schmidt's secret is out of the bag, Cece seems a lot more comfortable with the idea of being in a relationship with Schmidt. That feeling doesn't last long though. Cece realizes she's late and starts to panic. Schmidt tries to be supportive and wants to do whatever Cece needs, but Cece pushes him away.
This scare eventually causes Cece to break up with Schmidt, which completely devastates him because while Cece was panicking and running away, Schmidt was getting ready to propose to her.
5 Her Birthday
On Cece's birthday, Jess plans the perfect day for her and her best friend, but when she shows up to Cece's apartment with a cake and a plan, Cece quickly shuts it all down, insisting they do something different to celebrate this year.
Cece asks Jess to go out with her and all of her model friends, which Jess hates because the models all make fun of her and she struggles to find anything to talk to them about. Cece doesn't seem to care that her best friend is miserable though.
4 Kisses Schmidt
After she breaks up with Schmidt, Cece starts dating Robbie, who doesn't initially seem to be her type. This relationship seems forced from the very beginning because Cece and Robbie are so different. It's pretty clear that Cece is just trying to move on from Schmidt and have someone new to make him jealous.
Her plan actually works and seeing her with Robbie drives Schmidt crazy. Cece and Schmidt know they should be together and they share a kiss while Cece is still with Robbie, which doesn't seem to be the right thing to do for anyone involved.
3 Almost Marries Shivrang
When Cece finds out that she has a limited number of years to have children, she puts herself on the fast track to marriage and kids and asks her family to arrange for her to marry.
Cece and Shivrang meet and though there aren't many sparks, they seem to be initially okay with the idea of settling for one another. On their wedding day, Cece is about to say "I do" and it's Shivrang who says he can't because he's in love with someone else.
2 Gives Bad Advice
When Jess is sequestered on jury duty, Cece promises her that she'll take great care of her roommates. Cece breaks that promise very quickly. Winston is in desperate need of girl advice, which he always turns to Jess for, but in Jess's absence, Cece insists he lets her help him.
Winston gives in and listens to what Cece has to say, but when he executes the advice she gives, his girlfriend breaks up with him. Cece is not as good at advice-giving as she thinks it is and it costs Winston his relationship.
1 The Audition
Cece is trying to figure out what to do with her life, knowing that she can't be a model forever. In later episodes, Cece considers becoming a news anchor and ends up getting a big audition for a news program.
Cece spends most of the episode too afraid to go to the audition and when she does finally decide to go, she gets drunk beforehand and completely ruins her chances of booking the job. It's a bad move for someone claiming to be a professional.
