THIAGO ALCANTARA has been warned off a move to Liverpool by former Reds midfielder Christian Ziege.
The Bayern Munich midfielder, 29, has told his club he wants to leave this summer.
Liverpool are believed to have already agreed personal terms with Thiago.
And there is also interest from Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal.
However, Bayern remain hopeful of keeping Thiago with a new contract.

And ex-Liverpool man Ziege, who also played for Bayern, believes the Barcelona academy product should avoid an Anfield switch as he wouldn’t “fit” Jurgen Klopp’s style of play.
Ziege told CaughtOffside: “I have to say I love this player.
“He is a fantastic player but I’m not sure he fits into the Premier League and the Klopp style of playing.
“I think where he is, Bayern Munich, is a good place for him. Or maybe a Spanish team.
“I’m not 100 per cent sure, although he is a fantastic player so he will handle it somehow.
“I’m just not 100 per cent sure it’s right for him.”

Thiago has spent seven seasons with Bayern, winning the Bundesliga title in each term.
But after turning 29 in April, it seems he wants one final challenge at the highest level before calling it a day.
Should he join Liverpool, Thiago would be competing with Fabinho, Jordan Henderson, Naby Keita, Georginio Wijnaldum, James Milner and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain for a place in the starting XI.
