When will music venues open in the UK?
From July 4, hotels, pubs, libraries, hairdressers, and caravan sites were allowed to open.
But now, music venues can open up their doors again from July 11.
Mr Dowden said on July 9: “This is an important milestone for our performing artists who’ve been waiting patiently in the wings since march.
“Out theatres, operas, dance and music shows can start putting on outdoor performances to socially distance audience.”
The government has been cautious as there was a coronavirus spike in South Korea as soon as they reopened nightclubs in late April and had to shut them down again after only two weeks.
In Germany, where the virus is almost under control, the ban on nightclubs will last until July 31 at least, while gatherings of more than 5,000 people aren’t happening until October 24.
When will concerts be back on?
Gigs and concerts will be able to take place outdoor again from July 11.
Oliver Dowden said: “As of July 11, our artists, musicians and dancers can start performing outside to outdoor audiences.”
The UK government is currently looking into how to making social distancing measures possible at indoor performances.

What social distancing measures will be in place?
The Government hasn’t said much about what social distancing measures will be in place for gigs and concerts.
It is highly likely that there will be reduced capacities and space between attendees, such as spaced seating in venues like Wembley.
Capacity will likely be increased over time as the R value goes down in the local area.
