Man grievously injured in construction accident

A man was grievously injured when a six-course wall fell on him at a construction site in Għaxaq.

The police said the 49-year-old victim, who lives in Mellieħa, was working at the site in Triq it-Tumbarellu when the accident happened at around 1pm.

He was taken to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance.

The police are investigating.
