PHILLIP Schofield is said to be in talks to appear on Strictly Come Dancing – as one half of the show’s first same-sex couple.
The 58-year-old This Morning host, known as the Silver Fox for his distinctive hair, is reported to be at the top of BBC bosses’ hit lists.

The Star says a big-money deal has been offered, quoting an insider saying: “Top-secret talks have been happening for a few weeks and an offer has been made.
“The hope is Phillip would dance with another man. If it happens it would be a beautiful and important moment both for him and for the show.”
Speaking last year Phillip, who came out as gay in February, said he hoped one day two men or women dancing together wouldn’t be a “big deal”.
He said: “What’s lovely about same-sex couples is that it’s a big deal this year and then, whether Strictly or whoever does it next year, it won’t be such a big deal.”

Indeed, history was made on Phillip’s own show, Dancing On Ice, earlier this year when a same-sex couple appeared.
Ian ‘H’ Watkins and Matt Evers performed together on the show in January.
There has been a same-sex dance on Strictly before – but only between two dancers as a one-off.
Johannes Radebe and Graziano Di Prima took to the dance floor during Emeli Sande’s performance in the results show on 3 November last year.

If Phillip does decide to do Strictly, he would be joining a long line-up of This Morning stars to appear on the show.
Roving reporter Alison Hammond, 45, Ruth Langsford, 60, and Dr Ranj Singh, 41, have all graced the hit’s famous dance floor.
The Sun recently revealed that Strictly will start a month later than usual this year – and wrap up early too.
The show, which usually runs for 13 weeks, has been pushed back in BBC1’s autumn line-up due to coronavirus and is now scheduled to air from October 24.
