Darkseid VS Justice League May Change The DC Universe
Darkseid’s presence in any DC story always raises the stakes, making any plot featuring the ruler of Apokolips a particularly terrifying and dangerous one for those required to fight the New God and archenemy of the Justice League. An upcoming issue of Justice League Odyssey certainly promises a memorable clash. With issue #25 not only bringing an end to the series, but also featuring Darkseid, there’s guaranteed to be some epic and memorable action in this Justice League adventure.
The final issue of Justice League Odyssey is set to bring a conclusion to the incredible story that followed Green Lantern Jessica Cruz, Red Lantern Dex-Starr, Orion of the New Gods, and New Titans Starfire and Cyborg. Over the course of their run on Justice League Odyssey, writer Dan Abnett and artist Will Conrad have helped to tell some mind-blowing, cosmic stories while also showing new sides to these characters, breathing new life into characters that have been on the page for decades.
While the conclusion to this story is already expected to be game changing enough for the DC Comics lineup, the publisher has also promised that the conclusion of Abnett and Conrad's story is going to change the DC Universe's cosmic outlook for good. While little has been revealed as to how the story will accomplish this, the inclusion of Darkseid in this book is bound to hint towards some catastrophic events in store for those characters fans have come to love across the 24 current issues of Justice League Odyssey.
Whether or not the heroes will all survive their battle with Darkseid is unknown, but as it is the final issue, this final clash - that is destined to change the future of the DC Universe - is bound to leave some lasting effects on both the audience and the Justice League Odyssey team.
Justice League Odyssey isn’t the only comic ending in October. Batman and the Outlaws, and Batgirl will all be wrapping up their runs in the coming months. Though these conclusions are almost certainly connected with the upcoming DC relaunch, known as 5G or Generation Five. Perhaps the battle with Darkseid is set to connect to the upcoming reboot and if that is the case, this that will help change the DC Universe forever. Justice League Odyssey #25 is scheduled to release October 13, so fans will have to wait a while longer before finding out how the skirmish plays out and what its greater implications will be.
