Billie Faiers finally ends war with neighbours after they slammed £1.4m dream home plans as ‘excessive’

BILLIE Faiers has finally ended her war with the neighbours after they slammed her £1.4million dream home plans as “excessive” – as they finally called her plans “acceptable”.

The Towie star hit a stumbling block earlier this year when the development was rejected after neighbours complained it was too big.

However, after submitting new plans with the project reduced by millimetres, The Sun Online can reveal neighbours have finally approved the plans.

A neighbour told the council: “I give my response to the amended drawings for the above property which, whilst I would have liked to have had similar window treatment to bedroom 4 as that of bedroom 2, I find to be acceptable in principle.”

The comments go on to say that if Billie and Greg’s house ‘fits the character of the area’ … “it would have my support.”

According to Billie and Greg’s design and access statement, the new home’s extension height has been reduced by 500mm and they’ve made adjustments the design so the property is not quite as close to their neighbours.

The original owner had permission to build two houses

The couple are banking on council approval with their submission adding: “The planning officer confirmed that these now overcome the reasons for refusal on the original application.

“They therefore recommended that a revised application be submitted.”

Originally, the council officer’s report stated it would be the biggest house on the street and the increase in size from the original home would not be acceptable.

They also thought the house would “erode local character and spatial qualities.”

Despite the previous owner having planning permission to build two houses, the council was not happy for Billie to be building one massive mansion.

The plans show five bedrooms with the en-suite master bedroom having a huge dressing room.

Three of the other en-suite bedrooms will have massive walk-in wardrobes.

Greg wants a ‘man cave’ in the property, converting the original garage into a gym and games room, and there is to be a play room for their children; Nelly, five, and Arthur, two.

They want to add a two-storey side extension and single extensions to the front and rear, and completely re-landscape the outside space.

The couple bought the four-bedroom 1920s property for £1.4 million in January.
