0

The RSPCA has launched an appeal to find a man who appeared to kick a dog in a video.

The animal rights group asked for the public’s help after being sent a clip of the incident that took place in Seymour Grove, Manchester, at around 5.55pm on Thursday.

Nikki Farell sent the video to the police and RSPCA after posting it on Facebook group Friends of Seymour Park.

She said the man had attacked the dog and then left it on her doorstep.

Farell wrote in a post: ‘Please keep an eye out for this dog that has been dumped outside my door on Seymour Grove at 17.55pm, I’ve reported to the police!

‘I didn’t see it happen or I would of confronted him’.

The Friends of Seymour Park Facebook group said since the video was posted yesterday there had been a surge of new members offering to scan for a chip or adopt the dog if it was found.

An RSPCA spokesperson added: ‘We’re aware of this upsetting video and we’re looking into it.

‘We would urge anyone who recognises the man or the dog to contact the RSPCA’s emergency line on 0300 1234 999.’
