Selling Sunset Season 3: Chrishell Talks Lovingly About Ex Justin Hartley In 1st Episodes
Selling Sunset fans who are binge-watching the new season are totally getting goosebumps every time Chrishell Stause brings up her marriage to Justin Hartley, and not the good kind. She and her This is Us star husband are actually in the midst of a messy divorce, which doesn’t unfold until the middle of the season.
As Selling Sunset fans get ready to pop their popcorn and order in takeout to start their binge-fests of the new season, (it’s finally here!) something cringe-worthy must be addressed. The new season revolves heavily around Chrishell Stause’s shocking divorce. Since it was filmed during the split, there are episodes where Chrishell is still lovingly talking about her now-ex. The reality star found out about the divorce mid-production and also because Justin filed without her knowing, Chrishell hears about her divorce at pretty much the same time the whole world does. While fans don’t actually get to see Chrishell being blindsided until later on in the season, much of the beginning episodes involve Chrishell talking about her marriage, and looking like a role model when it comes to healthy relationships. This may make viewers squirm in their seats as they start watching the new Selling Sunset season.
Production didn’t do any favors for Chrishell as they added clips of her talking lovingly about Justin before she learned about the divorce filing. In the very first episode, where Chrishell is at the Coldwater listing, she talks about how she and Justin have bought their dream home and how she wants to “find things to warm it up and put our own personal touch on it.” She clearly had no idea what was about to unfold. Her marriage was doomed, according to Metro UK.
Even though it’s clear in the early Selling Sunset episodes that Chrisell was very much in love with Justin and never expected to be dealing with a divorce, she did reveal something telling. While the cast was talking about tarot card readings, Davina planned a birthday party for Christine and a palm reader would attend, Chrishell said she'd visited a palm reader before, who told her she had a big split in her lifetime, which you can read more about here. So, maybe Chrishell did know that something would turn her world upside down at some point in her life.
