Fall Guys How to Grab and Pull Players | Screen Rant
Fall Guys is a competitive platformer game all about running through obstacles courses, outmaneuvering up to 59 other players, and being the last one standing. To do this players will run, jump, and dive to victory. These are common actions in platformers most gamers are familiar with, but Fall Guys also lets players grab their opponents.
Running around and jumping are second nature to many who play games, but grabbing in Fall Guys is a little different. Here’s a look at how to grab and drag in Fall Guys, as well as the advantages of doing so.
To grab other Fall Guys, all players need to do is hold the shift button when playing the PC version, and press the R2 button on the PlayStation 4 version. With the PC version, these are merely the default inputs; the key or button used to grab can be altered in the options menu. After pressing the designated button, players will see their Fall Guys hold their arms out. When close enough to another player, they can then be grabbed. A satisfying ‘suction’ sound effect and visual clue indicate that they have been grabbed. After this, they can be moved around so long as the player has their hand on the designated grab button. Releasing the button will also release the grappled target.
Many of the games in Fall Guys, particularly team-based ones, require players to grab and pull important items. Grabbing eggs to deliver them back to the team’s base, pulling tails off other Fall Guys so the player’s team can have the most, and others. Understanding how to grab and pull is essential for winning these competitions, but players can make use of it in every game mode. Many game modes, especially the races, have large hordes of players trying to budge their way towards the goal. Grabbing another player can mess up their flow, causing them to miss a jump or slow them down. Doing so will impede their progress, and give the player a chance to capitalize on their errors. Taking hold of other players is also useful in survival modes. Trying to dodge a wall that pushes players off the platform? Force them into a head-on collision with it by grabbing them before they can make it to safety. Survival modes end once a certain number of players are disqualified, or the timer runs out, so taking out unsuspecting players can expedite the process. Pushing away other Fall Guys can also create more room on crowded platforms, so use this mechanic to take advantage of the chaos.
Fall Guys is available on PlayStation 4 and PC.
