One Perfect Shot Twitter Account Is Becoming A TV Show
Ava DuVernay is partnering with the twitter account One Perfect Shot to create a TV series inspired by the account. One Perfect Shot was initially created by Geoff Todd and was bought by Film School Rejects creator Neil Miller. The account posts pictures and short video clips of single shots from acclaimed films that stand out and excel at capturing the essence of the movie.
The One Perfect Shot Twitter account announced that a TV series had received the greenlight from HBO Max. The account owner will serve as an executive producer for the series as well as DuVernay through her production company ARRAY Filmworks, Warner Horizon Unscripted Television, and Lee Metzger. DuVernay is lending her voice to the project in more ways than one as she will be narrating the series.
DuVernary is equally excited to work on the project. One Perfect Shot retweeted two of her tweets, referencing the new series. She called the account one of her favorite twitter accounts and described the experience of turning into a series as a "film geek's dream."
According to the official HBO Max synopsis, each episode focuses on one iconic movie shot that is broken down by the film's director "with an arsenal of visual tools." The series will use premier technology to assist the directors in literally entering each shot, and viewers will have the same 360-degree view as the director providing an immersive viewing experience. As the filmmakers walk through their creations, they will share their obstacles, challenges, lessons, and triumphs as well as the behind-the-scene tricks that went into making the shot.
