Watch The Full Intro to Doc's Return to Livestreaming on YouTube
After a tumultuous period of silence following his ban from Twitch, famous game streamer Dr. Disrespect has returned to the profession via YouTube. One of the most recognizable personalities in the streaming game, Herschel "Guy" Beahm IV regularly dons a pair of sunglasses and a black mullet wig to transform into the Dr. Disrespect character. He also has a highly distinguishable mustache he calls both "Slick Daddy" and "The Poisonous Ethiopian Caterpillar" Many in the streaming world see him as more of a wrestling character, and he has worked with WWE in the past via a crossover with undead grappler The Undertaker.
Back in June, Beahm was banned from Twitch, and the streamer claims to this day that he doesn't know the reason for it. A Twitch representative told the press at the time that Beahm had "acted in violation of [its] Community Guidelines or Terms of Service." This was unexpected due to Beahm immense moneymaking potential for the platform, and he had recently signed a multi-million dollar contract with the website. Still, Doc has often been a controversial persona. The streamer was famously banned from E3 2019 for filming inside of a bathroom, an incident that also got him suspended from Twitch for two weeks. There have also been accusations of racism against Asians on his channel, although Beahm responded by saying that some of his best friends are Asian.
Yesterday, Dr. Disrespect's YouTube channel reactivated, and the streamer preceded to stream an image of a gas station to thousands of fans to build hype for his return. The pre stream didn't break the Internet this time, properly starting earlier today with a hype package proclaiming that Doc is back in business. There are several shots of "The Arena" (Beahm's fictional in-universe headquarters) powering back up. The video also features highlights of Beahm sniping enemies in various games and yelling his many catchphrases.
Those looking for answers regarding his Twitch ban will be disappointed, as the streamer has not offered any insight as to what happened between the two parties. Beahm continues to claim that he has no idea why Twitch banned his channel, and he has compared those who say that he's lying to common cockroaches. He did mention that legal professionals are hashing out the situation, but that's the only new information. Dr. Disrespect is streaming on YouTube without a new contract, although his throngs of fans were quick to donate hundreds of dollars to welcome the streamer back into the spotlight.
The gaming industry is not known for keeping secrets well, so it's likely that the world at large will learn the truth about Dr. Disrespect's situation sooner rather than later. Whether this is penance for his past behavior or some new misdeed, it seems that his fanbase will be quick to forgive. His new masters at YouTube may have something different to say, although they may also not considering that the platform is also the home to creators like Keemstar and untold scores of personalities pushing conspiracy theories.
