Chennai coronavirus count goes below 1,000 after 52 days; 119 deaths across Tamil Nadu

For the first time in 52 days, Chennai recorded fewer than 1,000 fresh Covid-19 cases on Friday. According to a state health bulletin, the hotspot reported 984 cases with 1,103 recoveries and 24 deaths for the day.
