The victim identified as Sajad Ahmad Khanday was attacked less than 48 hours after another sarpanch from BJP, Arif Ahmad, was shot at in south Kashmir. “The state administration along with central agencies is reviewing the security. We have noticed some serious lapses in ensuring safety,” said a senior home ministry official.
