HFPA President Lorenzo Soria Has Died at 68
Lorenzo Soria, the president of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, has died at the age of 68.
Soria battled lung cancer and he passed away peacefully at his Los Angeles home on Friday (August 7), a family member told THR.
The HFPA is the organization behind the Golden Globe Awards. “Lorenzo was a beloved member of the entertainment industry and the Hollywood community and will be sorely missed,” the HFPA said in a statement.
Soria joined the HFPA in 1989 and was on the board for years. He served five different terms as president, including his current one.
