Woman shares ingenious way she gets the last bit of foundation from her make-up bottle
A woman has revealed the clever way she makes the most of her bottles of foundation, and it couldn’t be more straightforward.
Anyone who uses make-up, knows that getting the last bits of coverage out of the container can be somewhat of a tricky task.
A woman has shared her top tip for getting the last bits of foundation out of the bottle[/caption]But it seems that could be a thing of the past now, thanks to one lady who decided to share her make-up hack on a Facebook group.
Sharing a snap of her almost finished No.7 Stay Perfect foundation bottles, the woman named Rose Brookes then revealed how much she managed to salvage from them – and it’s certainly impressive.
Facebook users were impressed with how much she managed to salvage[/caption]Using a super simple hack, she filled up half of a small plastic tub – meaning her foundation would last her that little bit longer.
“Thought I’d share a little experiment I tried after years of scraping the bottles lol,” she captioned the post.
“A little bit of boiling kettle water tipped into the empty bottles. Shake up the bottles until the foundation loosens up (you will see it coming away from the bottle).”
The method involves using boiling kettle water and is easy to do[/caption]She continued: “Tip into an empty tub Foundation is water based so all the hot water will lie on top of the foundation. All you have to do is tip the little bits of water out afterwards.”
Fellow Facebook users were very impressed with the beauty hack, with one person commenting: “Why have I never thought of this, it drives me mad that you can never get it all out and as someone else has said it is not cheap.”
A second person wrote: “That’s a cool idea. I had been squeezing some moisturiser with spf into mine to make the last bit a tinted moisturiser but I’m not a fan of subtle coverage so don’t reach for it often .”
A third person revealed what they’ve been doing up until now: “I use a narrow paint brush to get the bit out of the bottom but it does annoy me how much is wasted. When it was in a tube it was easy to cut open.”

The hack comes after another woman revealed how to get perfect glowing skin without using fake tan.
Taking to TikTok, user Victoria shared her simple method which requires just two items you can snap up at any chemist.
All you will need is a bottle of Johnson’s Baby Oil which you can pick up for just £1.56 from Tesco and a cheap shimmery bronzer (psst…Primark has them for just £2.50.)
