History and description
Stadion Miejski Tychy got built to provide GKS Tychy with a modern home to replace their tiny and ramshackle old Stadion Miejski, which had stood in the same place.
The old stadium got demolished in 2013. Construction works took two years, and the new Stadion Miejski Tychy opened on 18 July 2015 with a friendly match between Tychy and Koln (0-1).
How to get to Stadion Miejski Tychy
Stadio Miejski Tychy is located centrally in Tychy just south-east of its small city centre. The stadium lies less than a kilometre away from the central Rynek square, which makes it a 10-minute walk.
Tychy’s main railway lies further west on the western edge of the city, about 2.5 kilometres away. It is an approximate half an hour walk to the stadium.
Tych Bielska station lies closer to the stadium though, about a kilometre south. It takes about 10 minutes to walk.
Frequent trains connect Tychy main railway station with Katowice. The journey takes about 15 minutes. The service from Katowice to Tychy Bielska station is less frequent, but typically still at least once every hour. The journey takes about 25 minutes.
From Krakow typically a change is required in Katowice, though there is the odd direct train.

Tychy Tickets
Tickets for Tychy matches can be bought online, or in person at the ticket office at the stadium.
Tickets can also be bought at the ticket windows of the stadium before the start of the match. Tychy doesn’t normally sell out.
Tickets cost a PLN 18.00 for all seats.
